Watch this clip on valve float, watch the spring start to rotate and vibrate, that's HP Loss and engine damage happening. At 6000 RPM each valve is cycling at 200 times per second, the valve spring needs to be able to compress and return fast enough to prevent a major collision with the piston and seal the cylinder tight on the first hit of the valve to the seat.
